When Fletch inherits a Louisiana mansion from his aunt, he quits his job and moves there. The mansion, however, is not all that it seems. He goes to bed with a woman named Amanda, played by Patricia, and finds, unexpectedly, that she is dead in the morning. Fletch investigates what happened to her, as well as why he is being offered large amounts of money for his virtually worthless property.
