Shari is an attorney who becomes involved in some incest cases, which cause her to suddenly bring up memories of having experienced incest herself when she was a child. Her family refuses to believe her, and this starts to ruin her relationship with her sister, Linda (played by Patricia). Shari decides to work toward trying to get a law passed which would allow incest victims to sue for damages when their memories of the incest return, even as adults.
